The Top Speed Baseball (17-16) trailed by five in the fourth, but the Top Speed Baseball recovered thanks to a key hit into a fielder's choice in the eighth inning from Cody Demera to pull out a 9-6 win in eight innings over the Sacramento Scorch (6-14) at Sierra Junior College on Saturday.
With the score tied at six, Demera came to the plate and hit into a fielder's choice, plating AJ Borja and Randall Packard.
Demera racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Top Speed Baseball. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings.
Mitch Labbie got the win, running his season record to 2-2. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit.
Adam Crossman was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out two.
