A great effort by Chris Pearson spurred the Top Speed Baseball (16-15) to an 11-1 win over the San Francisco Seagulls (16-12) on Thursday at Sir Francis Drake High School.
Pearson hit two home runs for the Top Speed Baseball. Pearson went 3-3 in the game with three RBIs and three runs scored. Pearson homered in the sixth and seventh innings.
The Top Speed Baseball blew out the San Francisco Seagulls thanks to 12 hits, including zero extra base hits. A two-run triple by Matt Pollock and a two-run home run by Pearson helped the Top Speed Baseball score four runs in the seventh. The Top Speed Baseball had three hits in the inning.
Adam Bray picked up the win for the Top Speed Baseball. Bray allowed one earned run, six hits and two walks while striking out five over six innings of work.
Sam Alton ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
