The Santa Maria Packers were never able to get over the hump and overcome their troubles against the Top Speed Baseball (12-12) on Saturday, as the Santa Maria Packers fell 3-2 at Allen Hancock College after falling behind by two runs in the sixth inning.

The Santa Maria Packers scored one run in the seventh on an RBI single by regaldo. Still, the Santa Maria Packers couldn't catch the Top Speed Baseball.

Jeff Deblieux racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Top Speed Baseball. He singled in the first innings and tripled in the sixth inning.

Dino Cristiani pitched lights out for the Top Speed Baseball. Cristiani held the Santa Maria Packers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.

A bright spot for the Santa Maria Packers in the defeat was mchillin, who allowed only three runs while striking out five.

Kyer Vega improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Top Speed Baseball. He allowed one run over four innings. He struck out five, walked two and surrendered three hits.
