A magnificent effort by Brice Miller hoisted the Top Speed Baseball (11-12) to a 7-0 win over the Santa Maria Packers on Saturday at Allen Hancock College.
Miller struck out 10 hitters en route to the the Top Speed Baseball win. The Top Speed Baseball's pitcher tossed seven innings of shutout ball and allowed only five hits.
Everything was working at the plate for the the Top Speed Baseball in the second. In the inning the Top Speed Baseball scored four runs.
Dan Perez was hot from the plate for the Top Speed Baseball. Perez went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.
perez (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in nine innings, walked four and struck out 10.
