Megan Wiggins went 1-2 and hit a home run as the Chicago Bandits (25-19) took home a 5-1 victory over the Carolina Diamonds (17-26) at Rosemont Stadium on Saturday.

Nikki Nemitz struck out six, paving the way for a the Chicago Bandits win. Nemitz allowed one earned run on six hits and three walks over six innings.

A bright spot for the Carolina Diamonds in the defeat was Morgan Melloh, who allowed only one run while striking out five.

GiOnna DiSalvatore led the Carolina Diamonds' offensive threat, as she got on base two times in the game. She scored one run and had one RBI. She homered in the fourth inning.

Danielle Spaulding couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Carolina Diamonds, taking a loss. She lasted just three innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
