Sarah Pauly tossed a shutout to lift the USSSA Pride (25-12) to an 8-0 win over the Carolina Diamonds at Five County Stadium .

The USSSA Pride's Pauly kept the Carolina Diamonds (15-22) off the scoreboard for all seven innings she was on the hill. She pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on five hits while striking out nine.

The USSSA Pride blew out the Carolina Diamonds thanks to seven hits, including zero extra base hits. An RBI single by Jessica Mendoza and a three-run home run by Charlotte Morgan helped the USSSA Pride score four runs in the fifth. The USSSA Pride had three hits in the inning.

Morgan racked up three RBIs on one hit for the USSSA Pride.

Danielle Spaulding (0-3) took the loss for the Carolina Diamonds. She allowed eight runs in six innings, walked eight and struck out four.
