A great effort by Cat Osterman led the USSSA Pride (25-12) to a 9-0 win over the Carolina Diamonds (15-22) on Thursday at Five County Stadium .

Osterman got the win for the USSSA Pride thanks to 10 strikeouts. The USSSA Pride's pitcher gave up just two hits over seven shutout innings.

Five runs in the first three innings helped the USSSA Pride blow out the Carolina Diamonds. A groundout by Kristyn Sandberg and a groundout by Kelly Kretschman during the first inning helped the USSSA Pride put some runs on the board early.

Natasha Watley reached base three times. She singled in the first inning and tripled in the third inning.

Angel Bunner (4-7) was the game's losing pitcher. She allowed nine runs in six innings, walked five and struck out four.
