Vicky Galindo drove in the go-ahead run to give the Chicago Bandits (19-17) the lead in the eighth inning, as the Chicago Bandits hung on to beat the Carolina Diamonds (15-20) 2-0 on Saturday.

Shannon Doepking to start the eighth. She then went from first to second on an error. Finally, Galindo came to the plate with the game scoreless in the eighth inning and reached on an error, scoring Doepking.

The Carolina Diamonds couldn't get anything going so long as Monica Abbott was on the hill. Abbott gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during her four innings of work.

Katie Burkhart (8-8) took the loss for the Carolina Diamonds. She lasted just eight innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
