A walk-off sacrifice fly from Jessica Mendoza brought home the winning run for the USSSA Pride (20-11) in a 2-1 victory over the Chicago Bandits at ESPN Wide World on Friday.
Mendoza reached base one time in the game for the USSSA Pride. She also drove in one runner.
Sarah Pauly picked up the win for the USSSA Pride. Pauly pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks while striking out four.
Despite the loss, the Chicago Bandits (16-16)'s Monica Abbott dominated the USSSA Pride's batters, giving up two runs and striking out eight.
