A walk-off two-run home run from Aja Paculba brought home the winning run for the Akron Racers (14-22) in a 4-2 victory over the USSSA Pride (23-12) in nine innings at Firestone Stadium on Sunday.
Paculba racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Akron Racers. She singled in the second inning and homered in the ninth inning.
Lisa Norris picked up the win for the Akron Racers. Norris pitched nine innings and allowed two earned runs, six hits and three walks while striking out seven.
Cat Osterman couldn't get it done on the rubber for the USSSA Pride, taking a loss. She lasted just eight innings, walked three, struck out eight, and allowed four runs.
