The Carolina Diamonds (7-11) beat the USSSA Pride (9-9) 11-2 on Saturday at Tiger Park- LSU after a seven-run explosion in the second inning.

Rachel Folden racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Carolina Diamonds. She homered in the first inning and singled in the second innings.

Angel Bunner struck out seven hitters en route to the the Carolina Diamonds win. Bunner allowed two earned runs, six hits and one walk over seven innings.

Jamee Juarez was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Carolina Diamonds batters and allowing one run.

Danielle Lawrie (3-2) took the loss for the USSSA Pride. She allowed seven runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked two and struck out three.
