Thursday was a great day for Brittany Mack, as Mack struck out 10 batters to carry the USSSA Pride (6-4) to a 7-1 victory over the Carolina Diamonds at Jackie Robinson Stadium.
The USSSA Pride blew out the Carolina Diamonds (2-8) thanks to eight hits, including zero extra base hits. The USSSA Pride scored three runs in the sixth on a hit by pitch and a two-run single by Kristyn Sandberg.
Natasha Watley did her best to jumpstart the offense for the USSSA Pride, reaching base three times. She singled in the first inning.
Angel Bunner couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Carolina Diamonds, taking a loss. She allowed seven runs in six innings, walked five and struck out three.
