An ace performance by Monica Abbott spurred the Chicago Bandits (7-2) to a 2-0 win over the Akron Racers on Tuesday at Ballpark at Rosemont.

The Chicago Bandits got the win thanks in large part to Abbott's dominant, 14-strikeout performance. The Chicago Bandits' pitcher gave up just two hits over seven shutout innings.

Jennifer Mineau (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. She lasted just four innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
