The Akron Racers (4-5) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 3-2 to the USSSA Pride (4-4) on Saturday.

An RBI single by Jenn Salling gave the USSSA Pride the lead in the sixth inning.

Sarah Pauly got the win for the USSSA Pride thanks to six strikeouts. Pauly allowed two earned runs on four hits and one walk over seven innings.

Hillary Bach (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. She lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
