The Herndon Braves (15-24) had a tough outing on Wednesday, as the Vienna River Dogs (23-18) dominated in a 15-6 win at James Madison High School.

The Vienna River Dogs scored six runs in the third on a fielder's choice, , an RBI single by Bobby Rice, , , and a two-run double by Shaun Wood.

Wood racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Vienna River Dogs.

Jake Thomas had a hot bat for the Herndon Braves. Thomas went 3-5 and drove in one. He singled in the second and fifth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.

Brian Stinson got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed four runs over five innings. Stinson struck out five, walked two and gave up five hits.

Tyler Easterly couldn't get it done on the hill for the Herndon Braves, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in two innings, walked six and struck out one.
