The Alexandria Aces (20-21) and the Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts (9-33) each put runners in scoring position on Monday, but the Alexandria Aces capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 7-3 win at Frank Mann Field.

It was a good day at the plate for the Alexandria Aces' Kevin Francke. Francke went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

The Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts were led by Adam Spires's hitting. Spires went 3-5 and scored one run. He singled in the third, fifth, and ninth innings.

Ronnie Glenn got the win, running his season record to 3-1. He allowed two runs over six innings. Glenn struck out five, walked two and gave up seven hits.

Matt Marley ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
