Sean Keselica both hit and pitched well for the Baltimore Redbirds (24-10), but it wasn't enough as the Baltimore Redbirds fell to the Southern Maryland Nationals (13-23) 5-4 at Regency Furniture Stadium on Wednesday.

Keselica racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Baltimore Redbirds. He singled in the first, third, and sixth innings.

Keselica handled the Southern Maryland Nationals' lineup with ease, racking up eight strikeouts. Keselica allowed no earned runs on three hits and four walks over five innings.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the eighth, with five lead changes.

The Southern Maryland Nationals pulled out the win thanks to a strong eighth inning. A sacrifice fly by Trey Stover scored Cody Robinson and gave the Southern Maryland Nationals the lead for good.

Nick Benges got the win, running his season record to 1-2. He struck out none, walked three and surrendered no hits.

Nick Morton was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
