A walk-off single from Michael Bass brought home the winning run for the Bethesda Big Train (25-16) in a 4-3 victory over the Alexandria Aces at Shirley Povich Field on Wednesday.

Bass got on base three times in the game for the Bethesda Big Train. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the ninth inning.

Brennan Middleton had a hot bat for the Bethesda Big Train. Middleton went 2-4 and scored one run. He singled in the seventh and ninth innings.

Will Resnick brought the heat against the Alexandria Aces (20-21) during his outing. Resnick held the Alexandria Aces hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

Chris Sweeney racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Alexandria Aces. He singled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.

Henry Brooke (0-1) took the loss for the Alexandria Aces. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
