The D.C. Grays (18-21) pounded the Vienna River Dogs (23-18) on Monday 8-2 at James Madison High School.

The D.C. Grays scored three runs in the seventh on an RBI single by Josh Powell, an RBI single by Troy Marrow, and an RBI single by Kris Moules.

Tommy Barksdale racked up two RBIs on one hit for the D.C. Grays. He homered in the fourth inning.

The D.C. Grays relied on Joel Castillo to eat up innings en route to the win. Castillo allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out five over seven innings of work.

Nick Stephens (2-4) took the loss for the Vienna River Dogs. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out seven, and allowed five runs.
