The Baltimore Redbirds (26-10) blew out the Alexandria Aces (16-19) 9-3 on Saturday at Calvert Hall HS after pouring on five runs in the fifth inning.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the fifth, with four lead changes.

The Baltimore Redbirds finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fifth inning. Scored Kyle Neverman and Sean Keselica and gave the Baltimore Redbirds the lead for good.

Pat Fitzgerald racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Baltimore Redbirds. He singled in the third inning, doubled in the sixth inning, and tripled in the seventh inning.

Chris Ellis recorded his third win of the year for the Baltimore Redbirds. He allowed three runs over five innings. Ellis struck out nine, walked seven and gave up three hits.

Brian ONeill (0-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked six and struck out three.
