The D.C. Grays best the Herndon Braves in shootout, 15-10

Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Thursday as the D.C. Grays (10-13) outscored the Herndon Braves (10-12) 15-10.

The two teams combined for 38 hits in the game.

The Herndon Braves couldn't slow down Josh Powell, who paced the D.C. Grays with five hits. He homered in the eighth inning and singled in the third, fourth, sixth, and ninth innings.

Danny ODonnell picked up the win for the D.C. Grays. ODonnell allowed one earned run, seven hits and one walk while striking out four over six innings of work.

Jourdan Weiks racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Herndon Braves. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Nick Rogowski couldn't get it done on the hill for the Herndon Braves, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked two and struck out one.

The D.C. Grays easily handled the Herndon Braves pitching as six hitters combined for 16 hits, 11 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
