The Southern Maryland Nationals (6-15) continued to pile up the runs on Saturday, scoring five runs in the last three innings, en route to an easy 15-4 win over the Rockville Express (13-6) at Montgomery College.

A home run by Austin Guy helped the Southern Maryland Nationals score four runs in the eighth. The Southern Maryland Nationals had three hits in the inning.

Joe Giacchino had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the first and sixth innings and singled in the eighth inning.

Michael Bowie kept contact to a minimum, striking out six the Rockville Express batters. Bowie allowed one earned run, four hits and no walks over six innings.

Norm Donkin got on base three times in the game for the Rockville Express. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Quinn Saunders (0-1) took the loss for the Rockville Express. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.

The Southern Maryland Nationals easily handled the Rockville Express pitching as six hitters combined for 13 hits, 13 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
