The Herndon Braves (7-9) pounded the Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts (6-9) on Wednesday 7-1 at Blair Stadium.

The Herndon Braves scored three runs in the ninth on a two-run double by Jake Rowland and an RBI double by James Vasquez.

Vasquez put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Herndon Braves.

Ryan Ashooh brought the heat against the Silver Spring Takoma T Bolts during his outing. Ashooh gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his five innings of work.

Devon Davis was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed four runs.

Vasquez, Rowland and Jourdan Weiks helped lead the Herndon Braves. They combined for six hits and six RBIs.
