Riccio Torrez went 2-3 and hit a home run as the Orleans Firebirds (23-19) took home a 3-1 victory over the Wareham Gatemen (19-24) at Orleans, MA on Saturday.

The Wareham Gatemen had no answer for Andrew Kittredge, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Wareham Gatemen managed just two hits off of Kittredge, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out five during his five innings of work.

A bright spot for the Wareham Gatemen in the defeat was Max Perlman, who allowed only three runs while striking out six.

Perlman ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year.
