The Lancaster Barnstormers (88-52) were never able to get over the hump and get over their troubles against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (69-71) on Sunday, as the Lancaster Barnstormers fell 2-1 at Regency Furniture Stadium after falling behind by two runs in the fourth inning.

The Lancaster Barnstormers scored one run in the sixth on an RBI single by Travis Denker. Despite their efforts, the Lancaster Barnstormers couldn't get over the hump.

Nick Green's 12 strikeouts helped the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs to the victory. The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs' pitcher gave up just one hit over five shutout innings.

John Halama was charged with his ninth loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
