The Long Island Ducks fend off the Camden Riversharks' late push, hold on 4-2

The Camden Riversharks (62-77) weren't able to overcome the big hole they dug themselves into against the Long Island Ducks (63-74), and the Camden Riversharks lost 4-2 to the Long Island Ducks after falling behind by three runs in the seventh inning.

The Camden Riversharks scored one run in the seventh on an RBI triple by Steve Doetsch. Despite their efforts, the Camden Riversharks couldn't finish the comeback.

Lee Cruz paced the Long Island Ducks at the plate. Cruz went 3-4 and drove in one. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the second and eighth innings.

Jake Eigsti boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Camden Riversharks. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Bobby Blevins got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Josh Walter (0-4) took the loss for the Camden Riversharks. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
