Mark Brackman kept the Somerset Patriots (57-62) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Lancaster Barnstormers (76-41) beat the Somerset Patriots, 8-3.

Brackman allowed nine hits, one walk and struck out six.

Kody Kirkland put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Lancaster Barnstormers. He singled in the second inning, homered in the third inning, and doubled in the fifth inning.

Roy Merritt couldn't get it done on the bump for the Somerset Patriots, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in five innings, walked none and struck out four.

The Lancaster Barnstormers were sparked by Kirkland and Ryan Harvey, who teamed up for four hits and five RBIs.
