The Lancaster Barnstormers (73-41) and the Somerset Patriots (57-59) exchanged the lead five times on Monday, but the Lancaster Barnstormers ended up on top with a 7-3 win over the Somerset Patriots.

Francisco Hernandez racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Lancaster Barnstormers. He homered in the second inning, singled in the sixth inning, and doubled in the eighth innings.

Corey Smith had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the first inning, tripled in the sixth inning, and doubled in the eighth inning.

Alan Johnson improved to 12-5 on the year by picking up the win for the Lancaster Barnstormers. He allowed three runs over five innings. Johnson struck out one, walked one and gave up six hits.

Doug Arguello ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out seven, and allowed four runs.
