An excellent effort by Reid Gorecki carried the Long Island Ducks (54-59) to an 11-6 win over the Camden Riversharks (51-61) on Monday at Bethpage Ballpark.
Gorecki blasted two home runs for the Long Island Ducks. Gorecki went 4-6 in the game with two RBIs and three runs scored. Gorecki homered in the fourth, seventh, seventh, seventh, and seventh innings.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the third, with five lead changes.
Brian Burgamy racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Camden Riversharks. He doubled in the first inning and homered in the seventh inning.
Even though Chris Hayes allowed six runs over 6 2/3 innings he still recorded the victory, his third of the season. Hayes struck out four, walked one and gave up nine hits.
Kevin Reese (3-7) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.
