Brian Barton went 3-3 at the plate, sparking the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (47-54) to a 6-3 victory over the Long Island Ducks (50-50) on Tuesday at Regency Furniture Stadium.

Matthew Vasquez picked up the win for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. Vasquez pitched eight innings and allowed two earned runs, three hits and four walks while striking out six.

Brandon Sing racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Long Island Ducks. He homered in the first inning.

The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs had no answer for Eric Niesen, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs managed just three hits off of Niesen, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his three innings of work.

Chris Flinn couldn't get it done on the hill for the Long Island Ducks, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked one and struck out none.
