Daniel's walk-off single send the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs home winners, 4-3

A walk-off single from Mike Daniel brought home the winning run for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (45-50) in a 4-3 victory over the Bridgeport Bluefish at Regency Furniture Stadium on Thursday.

Daniel had a hot bat for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. Daniel went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Jesse Gutierrez racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the third inning.

Matthew Vasquez allowed two earned runs, five hits and no walks while striking out three over eight innings of work.

Prentice Redman had two extra-base hits for the Bridgeport Bluefish (44-51). He homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Chris Mobley improved to 4-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. He allowed one run over one inning. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Paul Oseguera ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just eight innings, walked none, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
