An awesome effort by Mike Loree lifted the Long Island Ducks (48-46) to a 5-0 win over the Sugar Land Skeeters (43-53) on Tuesday at Bethpage Ballpark.

Loree looked sharp on the mound. The Sugar Land Skeeters managed just one hit off of Loree, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out nine during his seven innings of work.

The Long Island Ducks were led by Brandon Sing's hitting. Sing went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the first innings and singled in the sixth and eighth innings.

Kelvin Villa couldn't get it done on the hill for the Sugar Land Skeeters, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
