An outstanding effort by Dwayne Pollok spurred the Lancaster Barnstormers (58-34) to a 3-2 win over the Somerset Patriots (45-48) on Saturday at Clipper Magazine.

Pollok's 11 strikeouts helped the Lancaster Barnstormers to the victory. Pollok allowed no earned runs, four hits and no walks over eight innings.

Fehlandt Lentini pushed the Lancaster Barnstormers ahead, in the eighth inning, and the lead lasted until the final out. With the score tied at two in the eighth inning, Lentini came to the plate and homered.

Lentini racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Lancaster Barnstormers. He singled in the third innings and homered in the eighth inning.

Corey Smith racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Somerset Patriots. He homered in the fourth inning.

Roy Merritt (5-6) took the loss for the Somerset Patriots. He lasted just eight innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
