The Long Island Ducks (45-46) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-4 to the Bridgeport Bluefish (43-48) on Saturday.

Brock Peterson racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Bridgeport Bluefish. He homered in the first inning.

Brad Thompson got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed four runs over six innings. He struck out five, walked none and surrendered 11 hits.

Nick Singleton (3-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out seven, and allowed five runs.
