Josh Pressley went 2-4 and hit a home run as the Sugar Land Skeeters (33-45) took home a 2-0 victory over the Long Island Ducks (43-35) at Bethpage Ballpark on Saturday.
He singled in the second inning and homered in the fourth inning.Pedro Liriano brought the heat against the Long Island Ducks during his outing. Liriano held the Long Island Ducks hitless over 2 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three.
Despite the loss, the Long Island Ducks' Mike Loree dominated the Sugar Land Skeeters' batters, giving up one run and striking out 10.
Loree ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year.
