The GEN Red Wings fend off the Utica's late push, hold on 4-3

The Utica (10-11) were never able to get over the hump and overcome their troubles against the GEN Red Wings (7-10) on Thursday, as the Utica fell 4-3 at McDonough Park after falling behind by three runs in the fifth inning.

The Utica scored two runs in the ninth on two singles. Still, the Utica couldn't catch the GEN Red Wings.

Aaron Benusis picked up the win for the GEN Red Wings. Benusis allowed two earned runs, six hits and four walks while striking out five over 8 1/3 innings of work.

Tony DiMaio couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Utica, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out nine, and allowed four runs.
