The GEN Red Wings (5-8) weren't able to come back from the big hole they dug themselves into against the Utica (9-7), and the GEN Red Wings lost 4-2 to the Utica after falling behind by four runs in the fifth inning.

The GEN Red Wings scored two runs in the seventh on a two-run home run by Jesse Puscheck. Still, the GEN Red Wings couldn't draw even.

Kenny Durling had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He tripled in the first inning, singled in the fourth inning, and doubled in the sixth inning.

Miguel Navarro struck out 11 hitters en route to the the Utica win. Navarro allowed two earned runs, five hits and one walk over eight innings.

Puscheck racked up two RBIs on three hits for the GEN Red Wings. He singled in the second and fifth innings and homered in the seventh inning.

Chris Murphy ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
