Knight brought home the go-ahead run to give the Adirondack (13-12) the lead in the seventh inning, as the Adirondack hung on to beat the Sherrill (9-17) 2-1 on Saturday.
With the game scoreless in the seventh inning Knight came to the plate and singled, plating Simone.The Adirondack held off the Sherrill, as the Sherrill were unable to overcome a two-run eighth inning deficit.
The Sherrill scored one run in the ninth on an RBI double by Nick Flemister. Despite their efforts, the Sherrill couldn't finish the comeback.
Robinson put together a nice outing. The Sherrill managed just one hit off of Robinson, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out four during his four innings of work.
Jabin Weaver recorded his first win of the year for the Adirondack. He allowed one run over 3 2/3 innings. He struck out six, walked two and surrendered two hits.
Mike Meleski ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked three, struck out eight, and allowed one run.
