The SYR Salt Cats (8-13) rolled over the GEN Red Wings (8-11) 9-3 on Saturday at McDonough Park after a five-run rally in the second inning.

Jake Cintolo racked up two RBIs on two hits for the SYR Salt Cats. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the second inning.

Corey Mingin kept contact to a minimum, striking out six the GEN Red Wings batters. Mingin allowed one earned run on four hits and two walks over seven innings.

Chris Ray led the GEN Red Wings' offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the eighth inning.

Chris Murphy (1-3) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out one.
