An outstanding effort by Sean Williams spurred the SYR Salt Cats (7-13) to a 7-1 win over the Adirondack (12-8) on Friday at Robert Smith Sports Complex .

Williams racked up 10 strikeouts in the the SYR Salt Cats win. Williams allowed one earned run on four hits and two walks over eight innings.

The biggest inning for the SYR Salt Cats was the sixth. The Adirondack had no answer as the SYR Salt Cats scored six runs.

Jake Cintolo helped the SYR Salt Cats take the lead for good in the sixth inning. After Nick Carlson, Cintolo doubled, bringing home Carlson.

The SYR Salt Cats were led by Dan Fiorito's hitting. Fiorito went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the ninth inning.

Corbin Stykemain (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just zero innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
