The SYR JR Chiefs (28-12) and the Adirondack (22-18) both threatened with rallies, but it was the SYR JR Chiefs that eventually took advantage of them in a 7-5 win at Alliance Bank Stadium.

The SYR JR Chiefs would not relinquish the lead as the Adirondack were unable to weather a five-run seventh inning deficit.

The Adirondack scored three runs in the ninth on an RBI double by Kevin Hix and two errors. Still, the Adirondack couldn't draw even.

Alexander Sanchez Jr. racked up two RBIs on three hits for the SYR JR Chiefs. He singled in the third, fifth, and seventh innings.

Peter Doggett's seven strikeouts were enough to push the SYR JR Chiefs past the Adirondack. Doggett allowed two earned runs on eight hits and two walks over seven innings.

Charles Parsons couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Adirondack, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
