The Lancaster Barnstormers (44-25) outlasted the Long Island Ducks (39-29) on Saturday after five lead changes, squeaking out a 8-3 win at Clipper Magazine.
Ryan Harvey had two extra-base hits for the Lancaster Barnstormers. He homered in the second inning, singled in the fourth inning, and doubled in the eighth inning.
The Long Island Ducks had no answer for Alan Johnson, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Long Island Ducks managed just three hits off of Johnson, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his four innings of work.
Ray Navarrete put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Long Island Ducks. He doubled in the first and fifth innings.
Nick Singleton couldn't get it done on the mound for the Long Island Ducks, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
The Lancaster Barnstormers' Kody Kirkland, Harvey and Fehlandt Lentini combined for seven hits and seven RBIs.
