The Hornell cruise past the GEN Twins, 10-2

The Hornell (25-13) pounded the GEN Twins (18-22) on Tuesday 10-2 at Maple City Park.

The Hornell scored three runs in the fifth on an RBI single by Cody Stevenson, a sacrifice fly by Chris Roeder, and a sacrifice fly by Roeder.

Tyler Stanford racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Hornell. He singled in the eighth inning.

The GEN Twins had no answer for Matt Danton, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The GEN Twins managed just four hits off of the the Hornell's pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out two during his five innings of work.

A bright spot for the GEN Twins in the defeat was Zach Connelly, who allowed only three runs while striking out five.

Chris Casto (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
