The Olean best the Wellsville in shootout, 17-10

The bats were busy at St. Bonaventure on Wednesday, and when the dust cleared the Olean (20-13) had a 17-10 win over the Wellsville (13-22).

The teams totaled 27 hits in the game.

The Olean's bats came to life in the sixth inning. In the inning the Olean scored 11 runs.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.

The Olean finally managed to grab the lead after a strong sixth inning. A passed ball scored Brad Rush to give the Olean the lead for good.

Even though Joe Dileo allowed nine runs over 6 2/3 innings he still recorded the victory, his second of the season. He struck out three, walked three and surrendered 14 hits.

Stephen Silvestri was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in one-third of an inning, walked three and struck out none.
