A great effort by Jon Kemmer carried the Olean (19-13) to a 16-8 win over the GEN Twins (16-18) on Tuesday at McDonough Park.
Kemmer racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Olean. He singled in the first inning and homered in the fifth inning.
Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 24 total runs and 23 hits during the game. Both bullpens were busy with nine pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.
Six runs in the first three innings helped the Olean blow out the GEN Twins. An RBI single by Kemmer and a three-run home run by Brad Rush during the first inning supplied the early offense for the Olean.
David Spaeder got his fourth win for the Olean despite allowing five runs over seven innings. Spaeder struck out two, walked three and gave up seven hits.
Matt Jimenez couldn't get it done on the hill for the GEN Twins, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked four and struck out four.
