Neil DeCook drove in the winning run to give the Niagara (17-15) the lead in the ninth inning, as the Niagara hung on to beat the Wellsville (13-19) 5-4 on Saturday.
Nicholas Linne singled to start the ninth. He then went from first to second on a groundout by Chane Lynch. Finally, DeCook came to the plate with the score tied at four in the ninth inning, and singled, scoring Linne.Linne racked up two RBIs on four hits for the Niagara. He singled in the first, second, fourth, and ninth innings.
Seth Eller brought the heat against the Wellsville during his outing. Eller held the Wellsville hitless over 3 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.
Matt Fishman couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Wellsville, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
