The Wellsville (12-16) took down the Niagara 10-2 on Saturday at Wellsville Central after slamming the Niagara (12-13) with six runs in the third inning.
Pete Strommen racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Wellsville. He doubled in the third inning.
The Niagara couldn't get anything going as long as Stephen Silvestri was pitching. Silvestri gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his five innings of work.
Frank Grandinette ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked three and struck out three.
