A superb effort by Brian Burgamy spurred the Camden Riversharks (24-23) to a 12-5 win over the Sugar Land Skeeters (18-28) on Thursday at Campbells Field.
Burgamy blasted two home runs for the Camden Riversharks. Burgamy went 3-3 in the game with three RBIs and three runs scored. Burgamy homered in the second and fifth innings.
The Camden Riversharks left no doubt in the outcome with five runs in the eighth.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the second, with four lead changes.
Keith Weiser recorded his third win for the Camden Riversharks even though he allowed five runs over five innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered nine hits.
Derrick Gordon (1-3) took the loss for the Sugar Land Skeeters. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked three and struck out two.
