The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (24-23) pounded the Long Island Ducks (27-20) on Thursday 9-1 at Bethpage Ballpark.

A two-run home run by Chin-Lung Hu and a two-run home run by Matt Padgett helped the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs score four runs in the first. The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs had three hits in the inning.

Hu racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs.

The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs relied on Deinys Suarez to eat up innings en route to the win. Suarez pitched eight innings and allowed no earned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out four.

Dan Meyer (1-3) took the loss for the Long Island Ducks. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
