Brad Boyer went 2-4 as the Lancaster Barnstormers (22-16) took home a 3-1 victory over the Somerset Patriots (16-22) at TD Bank Ballpark on Tuesday.
He singled in the third and ninth innings.The Somerset Patriots had no answer for Tim Hamulack, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Hamulack held the Somerset Patriots hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Alan Johnson improved to 3-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Lancaster Barnstormers. He allowed one run over five innings. Johnson struck out three, walked one and gave up eight hits.
Justin Cassel (1-5) took the loss for the Somerset Patriots. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
